Universal Studios to Welcome Mario, Luigi, and the Rest of the Nintendo Gang

Harry Potter fans aren't the only fandom to get a section of Universal Studios' theme parks dedicated to their favorite characters. Soon, Nintendo fans will interact with Mario, Luigi, and the rest of the gang as the characters are brought to life at Universal's theme parks around the world. The two companies just announced that they will create "immersive experiences [that] will include major attractions" at the theme parks, though no specific rides have been revealed. It's the first time Nintendo has brought its colorful roster of characters to life.

Universal Studios is already home to cult favorites like Harry Potter, Men in Black, and Jurassic Park, but the addition of Nintendo's cartoon-like characters could be great for younger fans.

The theme park also announced that King Kong will return to Orlando next Summer when the Skull Island: Reign of Kong attraction opens at the Islands of Adventure theme park. King Kong was one of the opening attractions when Universal Studios debuted in 1990, but it closed in 2002. The new attraction will transport guests to King Kong's homeland with an indoor and outdoor ride that places visitors in large expedition trucks.

We just want to know how long it will take to get the Super Mario Bros. theme song out of our heads now!
