Typically when I find a letter from my daughter's school in her backpack, I brace myself. Particularly if it's in a sealed envelope. Because in the days of emails and texts, parents of school-age children are still on the receiving end of some old-fashioned doozies from their school — and while some are perfectly harmless, some are just the opposite.
