Nurse Surprised by Navy Son at Work For Christmas

You'll Cry Watching This Nurse Receive the Holiday Surprise of Her Life — Her Son!

While many of us get time off during the holidays to relax, there are special folks out there who work straight through the festive season to keep us healthy and safe — people like medical professionals, first responders, and military members. For Children's Healthcare of Atlanta operating room nurse Kenika Johnson, that's how the holidays were going to be for her this year — or so she thought! Because Johnson's 18-year-old son Martavius had been in San Antonio, TX, training for the Navy, she figured they'd be apart this December . . . but with a little help from his mom's team at work, Martavius was able pull off the surprise of a lifetime.

Prepare for a serious case of "is somebody cutting onions in here?" because the video of the emotional nurse reuniting with her sailor son is enough to make even the biggest Grinch cry this holiday season. "I felt so many emotions. I'm really touched," Kenika said of the special surprise at her hospital's holiday party, thanking her coworkers for the special gift. "I felt the [hospital]'s love yesterday."

We know this mama and son will have the best holiday ever because they're together this year. Grab your tissues — this is exactly the sort of video that will lift your holiday spirits!
