In a powerful video posted in honor of National Siblings Day, viewers follow the life of twin boys born 4.36 seconds apart, which is stated as the only difference between them. Although the premise seems simple, the progression of the minute-long clip is truly powerful and will stick with you forever.
Throughout the course of the video, the boys go from newborn babies, growing toddlers, and cereal-spilling little kids to weight-lifting teens and finally, young men training for track events. The faces on these boys throughout the clip are hidden and ambiguous until both are poised to start their races, when it's revealed that one brother has Down syndrome. The timing of the reveal is poignant, however, as before you even realize it, both young men have gone on to win their respective races, further proving there is nothing different about them and their abilities.
The video, called "Born Apart," was posted on the Special Olympics Facebook page and has quickly gone viral with more than 6 million views in just three days — once you've seen it, you'll understand why.
