Documenting your child's vacation is a great way to help them hold on to their favorite moments and give them something to look forward to when the school year gets tough. 5 Write a Book
Have your little ones write and illustrate a story about their camp adventures, family vacation, or favorite moments from the last few months. It's a little more fun than a journal, and it will give them a head start on their Summer vacation essay for school.

6 Build a Time Capsule
Create a Summer-themed time capsule. Include mementos, photos, and a letter from the kids to their future selves with their goals for the upcoming year. Seal the whole thing in an airtight container (a tennis ball can or Tupperware would work well), and wait until a sunny day to bury it in the backyard. Make a note of where it is, and open it next Summer!
