Sad News For Disneyland Pass Holders: The Park Is Canceling Its Annual Passport Program

While Disneyland's reopening plans remain up in the air amid a stay home order and rising COVID-19 cases in California, the park has decided to end its annual pass program indefinitely starting Jan. 14 due to "continued uncertainty of the pandemic" and "limitations and expected restrictions around the reopening of our theme parks," according to Disneyland president Ken Potrock, who also announced the resort will be issuing refunds to eligible annual pass holders. This change does not affect Disney World pass holders.

While the news certainly comes as a disappointment for fans of the Happiest Place on Earth, Potrock also revealed the team is planning on developing new, more flexible membership offerings for the future while the park remains closed. And if you've been an active annual pass holder as of March 14 of last year, your discount will continue to be honored at select Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street locations. Disney is also offering a 30 percent discount on select merch at certain locations for pass-holders starting Jan. 18 to Feb. 25 from Monday through Thursday.
