Emily Ratajkowski Says That Her First Pregnancy Has Been an "Amazing, Eye-Opening Experience"

Since announcing in Oct. 2020 that she's expecting her first child with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, Emily Ratajkowski opened up about what her pregnancy journey has been like so far in a video collaboration with Kerastase hair products. In the video, she explained how honored she is to be able to start a family.

"I've never really understood what it would be like to make a family and growing a family is an amazing, eye-opening experience, and I feel very lucky," she said, sharing that she used to be "so freaked out" when watching videos in which you could see a baby moving inside a pregnancy bump. "But now I have that and it just makes you feel so connected to what's happening inside of you, which is really amazing."

The 29-year-old model explained that she's been getting a ton of rest and learning to appreciate the physical changes she's been experiencing. "[I'm] falling asleep all the time," she said. "It's the best sleep I've had in my life. Falling in love with my new body and how it changes and all the respect I have for it."

Now that she's closer to the end of her pregnancy, Emily is looking ahead to what her future as a parent will hold. "I don't know what motherhood is going to be like," she wrote in her Instagram caption. "Everyone has such different experiences and perspectives—I've learned to just trust the process and take each day at [a] time."
