More CoComelon is coming to Netflix! The streamer announced on July 13 that it's teaming up with Moonbug Entertainment to bring three seasons and four specials of a new preschool series, CoComelon Lane, to the service beginning in 2022. Each season will have 24 seven-minute episodes, and each nursery-rhyme compilation special will be an hour long. Netflix and Moonbug are also collaborating on one 48-episode season of a new Little Baby Bum series, Little Baby Bum: Music Time, which is set to release in 2023.
Featuring JJ and the rest of the CoComelon crew, CoComelon Lane will tell more stories about the children as they experience life's big moments together. Meanwhile, each seven-minute episode of Little Baby Bum: Music Time will invite preschoolers to explore rhythms, sounds, instruments, and other music fundamentals at home.
"With so many options available to kids and families, the popularity of Moonbug's series on Netflix speaks volumes," René Rechtman, cofounder and CEO of Moonbug, said in a press release. "With original shows to fan-favorites like CoComelon and Little Baby Bum leading the charge, we want to give viewers even more opportunities to connect through their favorite characters, stories and nursery rhymes." Heather Tilert, Netflix's director of original animation for preschoolers, added: "We're thrilled to partner with Moonbug to expand the worlds of both shows, and to bring our youngest viewers even more songs, stories, and adventures from some of their favorite animated friends."
While we wait for more information about the new shows, your toddlers can watch three three-episode seasons of CoComelon on Netflix, including the latest episode, "A Sunny Day For Play." As for Little Baby Bum, there are currently two seasons (eight combined episodes) available to stream now.
