We're Swooning Over This Serene Swan-Themed Baby Shower

Every party starts with a bit of inspiration, and for one Tampa, FL-based event planner, that inspiration came from an invitation she spotted on Tiny Prints. When Dorangela Bobet of Two Prince Bakery Theater saw the floral wreath baby shower invitation with muted pastel yellow, pink, gold, and green tones, she knew she had the basis for an upcoming party. Using the colors as her guide and bringing in some gilded swans throughout the party, she created the perfect amount of whimsy for an upcoming baby shower. To carry out the theme, Bobet created hundreds of handmade watercolor paper flowers to make a floral chandelier, floral crowns, and cake topper. Serene gold swans were placed throughout the room — holding cake pops, on the handmade silk dessert table backdrop, on cookies at each guest's place setting, and in the centerpieces as well.

"I wanted this baby shower to be sophisticated, bright, and fun," Bobet shared. "A few details such as the gold blocks that spell BABY as well as the hand-painted cookies are subtle enough to let you know that it's a baby shower while still maintaining the sophistication of the party."

And sophistication oozed from every corner of the party. From the beautiful (and colorful) salad with edible flowers that matched the paper ones in the centerpiece and the vintage-inspired cake stands, to the floral crowns and custom pillow that outfitted the seat for the mom-to-be, no detail was spared for this shower.

"The touches of gold bring a richness to this party and are carefully chosen from the vintage gold swans to the 24 kt gold-plated place settings," Bobet said.
