Popsugar Family Instagram Style Blogger's Thoughts on Her Postpartum Body At 1 Month Postpartum, This Hilarious Style Blogger Has a Lot to Say About Her Body February 27, 2017 by Alessia Santoro View On One Page Photo 1 of 7 ADVERTISEMENT () Start Slideshow Today marks exactly one week since having my little/big ( 9lb 3oz ) baby Zendé 👶🏽 | As a little #mamaspice💃🏽 follow up, this pic is inspired by a recent post by the beautiful @aishathalia ( check her out! 😍 ) Now at first glance at her post baby body you may think jeeez 😩 followed by an inclination to throw a white flag in front of you while eating a tub of ice cream balanced on your lingering pot belly, singing a tragic rendition of a Dixie Chicks song ..using all of your remaining preggo hormones while wallowing in self pity about the fact that her one week "after body" is "better" than your before body.... or is that just me 👀🤔😂😂 jkjk ...LISTEN! We are all so different...on purpose! I LOVE that she shared that message 🙏🏽 Giving birth is one hell of a ride, not to mention the months prior to the actual labour...so give yourself some credit! I think it's fantastic to feel motivated and inspired by others, but at the end of the day, we can only be ourselves. If you're comparing your after to someone when you didn't even have the same before, you are already setting yourself up for disappointment. Be kind to yourself, the world can be cruel enough as it is...and if you just gave birth, you're pretty much a superhero, so extra armor comes with the territory 😉 If this post inspires anyone, I'm glad to help! I am 5'9 and I started my pregnancy at approx 140lbs and I went up to 196lbs by the end. I heard " you're all belly " a lot during my pregnancy, but clearly those pounds had to spread out a bit ...or I'd topple over 😆 If you haven't seen my prior posts, I had a C-section, and this is my first child...my focus has been loving up my baby, spending time with family, and healing. The female form is extremely fascinating, we gain body art during pregnancy 💁🏽 i.e. Belly lines, new nipples, the works 😬 and the science of our contracting uterus when breastfeeding etc...we are pretty spectacular. So if you've had a baby and it's left you with some extra body armor ( my new term for pudge or fat 😁 ) don't be discouraged...every masterpiece takes time, your babies took almost a year to arrive...their homes need time to be refurnished once they depart 😉 enjoy the journey! 😘 A post shared by ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀Charmaine Daudu💋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (@charmsie) on Feb 2, 2017 at 3:14pm PST Share This Link Copy ← Use Arrow Keys → 1 Previous Next Start Slideshow InstagramFamily Self-CarePostpartumMotherhoodPostpartum Bodies
