Why am I pumping in a bathroom? Because despite being given a gorgeous conference room with a view of the lake, I realized I need access to a sink. Because I only brought one set of pump parts. Because I'm used to having a sink where I pump. But then I realized washing my pump parts in a bathroom sink is foul so I'm going to wash them and then skip my last pump of the day. This is life being a breastfeeding working mom. And I'm lucky and spoiled and whatever by having a pump room with a sink where I work but you know what? It's still bullshit. It should be easier for a working mother to also provide her baby the best nutrition. Every large facility should have a room available, with a sink, because it should just be a normal part of life. But it's not. Which is why I'm sharing a photo of myself pumping.
