Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel is used to people looking at her nearly naked body, but that doesn't mean she was ready to accept people's cruel comments regarding a photo of her walking the beach in a bikini less than two weeks after having her son.
"Society can be so cruel to one another," she wrote on an Instagram story featuring the above photo. "Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days. I'm not ashamed to show my postpartum tummy, I am proud actually . . . I carried my son for nine months in there. I think I've earned the right to have a little tummy. Is it because I'm a model? Well, we are normal people too, so let me enjoy the beach in peace, please."
