How to Be the Very Last Guest in Disney World at the End of the Day

Every Mickey Mouse fan knows that Walt Disney World is a truly magical place, especially at night! It's hard not to snap photos every few seconds, but if you've seen those empty (and awesome) Main Street, U.S.A. photos, you're probably wondering how people got lucky enough to get those without the massive crowds in the background. Well, we're here let you in on a few strategies to get those empty park photos and be the last guest out of the Magic Kingdom each night (or any of the other three Walt Disney World parks) for a truly magical ending to the day. Typically, it takes an hour and a half to two hours after the park closes to get these empty Main Street, U.S.A. photos, but it's so worth it. Keep reading for three ways to be the last guest at a Disney Park.

Strategy One: The Sit and Wait

Strategy One: The Sit and Wait

The sit and wait strategy is the easiest to accomplish. Find a spot on Main Street, U.S.A. or the surrounding hub area and just . . . wait. The great thing about this strategy is that anyone can do it, and after a long day in the parks, it's also the most relaxing since you can finally rest your feet. My favorite spots to sit and wait are right next to Cinderella's castle, the hub grass on either side of Main Street, U.S.A., or the table and chairs in front of the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor.

Strategy Two: The Hot Ride

Strategy Two: The Hot Ride

The hot ride strategy takes a little more work than the sit and wait, but it's better if you're a single traveler. With this strategy, you hop in a line for an attraction right before the park closes, and wait in the standby line. You're going to want to do this with attractions that typically have a long line. My favorite attractions to implement this strategy with are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Once you get off the ride, you might need to employ the sit and wait strategy for a little while in the hub area of Main Street, U.S.A.

Strategy Three: The Snack

Strategy Three: The Snack

The last strategy involves my favorite thing: eating Walt Disney World snacks! All of the shops along Main Street, U.S.A. and Casey's Corner stay open an hour after Magic Kingdom closes. Grab a snack, and do a little shopping, then you'll probably have to use the sit and wait method, but at least you have something to munch on.
