OMG, People Thought Nancy Pelosi's Clap Was a "Baby Shark" Reference, and I Can't Unsee It!

It was the clap heard memed around the world, but wait, it gets funnier. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made the internet's night/week/month/2019 when, during Donald Trump's State of the Union address on Feb. 5, she stood to clap at Trump after he encouraged politicians to abandon revenge politics and "embrace the boundless potential of cooperation, compromise, and the common good."

The internet had an absolute field day with Pelosi's standing ovation, but there's one thing the clapping has been compared to that you won't be able to unsee — parents, brace yourselves: "Baby Shark."

It's pretty clear Pelosi's clapping seemed to be a message of her own directed at Trump, and this comparison makes even more sense when you think about it. "Baby Shark" is a song for toddlers, after all.
