Prince William Tried to Give Princess Charlotte a Ponytail — and It Was a "Nightmare"

Prince William may be second in line for the English throne, but he's no Chris Pratt. During a trip to Blackpool, England to visit the newly renovated Revoe Park — now used as a forest school for children and their fathers to promote outdoor learning and better parenting skills — 37-year-old Prince William jokingly vented about the struggles of fatherhood, particularly when it comes to braiding Princess Charlotte's hair. "Never try to do a ponytail! — Nightmare," William told a member of the local group Dads 4 Life, according to People.

Later, when Kate Middleton asked if he'd mastered weaving and braiding, William playfully replied, "I can do [3-year-old Princess Charlotte's] ponytail, but that's about it, as I don't have enough hair to practice on!" And that's a pretty good excuse, if you ask me. Just last week, Kate Middleton demonstrated her pro hairstyling skills during a visit to North Ireland's Cinemagic with several children, all of whom seemed eager to have their hair braided by the Duchess of Cambridge. I mean, who wouldn't be psyched?

Kate's many talents aside, Prince William may need to practice his hair-braiding skills if he wants to get on the Duchess's level. In any case, keep reading to see different variations of Princess Charlotte's hairstyles over the years (probably not done by Prince William).
