Elmo taught me love, and Cookie Monster taught me patience, and I'm saying "Thank you, yes!" to these adorable Sesame Street stamps in honor of the show's 50th anniversary. Just look at Rosita's little smile! If you were a kid anytime between 1969 and today, chances are you probably grew up watching Sesame Street, a show your parents would never get mad at you for watching because it's all about teaching letters, numbers, manners, and friendship (a true TV classic). And the US Postal Service announced its love for the show by revealing that the beloved children's program is one of three new subjects for its 2019 stamp collections, along with its Tyrannosaurus Rex stamps and its Spooky Silhouettes stamps for Halloween — and we can just hear The Count laughing with joy to have his face featured on a stamp.

"For the last 50 years, it has provided educational programming and entertainment for generations of children throughout the country and around the world," the USPS said in an official statement. The stamps will feature 16 of the most familiar Muppet pal faces: Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Rosita, The Count, Oscar the Grouch, Abby Cadabby, Herry Monster, Julia, Guy Smiley, Mr. Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Telly, Grover, and Zoe. Despite being a Muppet, Kermit the Frog didn't make the cut, but there's alway next year, USPS!

So check out all of the adorable 2019 USPS stamps ahead, and make your best friend's day by sending them a letter with the Big Bird stamp — or pay your bills with a slightly cheeky Oscar the Grouch stamp (accompanied by Slimey the Worm, of course).
