After Fans Complained About Sonic's "Unsettling" Human-Like Teeth, the Character's Getting a Makeover!

Update: According to a tweet from Jeff Fowler, the director of Sonic the Hedgehog, the fans have officially been heard! Sonic's getting a brand-new look, specifically new teeth, eyes, and legs. "Thank you for the support. And the criticism," he wrote in a May 2 tweet. "The message is loud and clear... you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be..." Jeez! Talk about a tall order!

While we can't wait for Sonic — who's voiced by Ben Schwartz, aka Jean-Ralphio from Parks and Recreation — to hit the big screen along with Tom (James Marsden) and Dr. "Eggman" Robotnik (Jim Carrey), fans noticed something off-putting in the trailer. Their complaint? Sonic's teeth are way too human-like.
