This Mom’s Reaction to Seeing Her Son Born Via Surrogate Is the Absolute Sweetest

After welcoming three girls, Chelsea and her husband knew they wanted to add a fourth child to their family and turned to surrogacy to make it happen for them. Chelsea's surrogate, Jen — the founder and owner of JA Surrogacy — agreed to have the birth photographed by Erin of Erin Shepley Photography, and the results are some of the most emotional and gorgeous birth photos we've seen.

"Photographing a birth is such an honor, as they are all so intimate and personal in nature. This particular birth was very emotional and beautiful to be a part of, as the parents used a surrogate to bring their son into the world," Erin told POPSUGAR.

She continued: "The dynamic of the room was incredible. The surrogate was supported by her loving husband and best friend as well as the parents during her entire labor and delivery experience. Everyone was right there with her the whole time. The moment the baby was born was something I'll never forget. Chelsea was overwhelmed with emotion when she saw her son and immediately looked to Jen and said thank you over and over again through many happy tears. I was also crying during this moment, as it was truly one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed. Jen had told me previously that that is the exact moment you realize and know that being a surrogate is such a gift and worth every second of the pregnancy. When you've given the gift of family to another couple, it's everything."
