A Mom Staged a Gorgeous Graduation Shoot For Her 6-Year-Old Daughter, and Her Smile Says It All!

Stephanie Mullowney, a photographer and mom to a 6-year-old daughter, Hannah Grace, has always been an advocate for children with special needs. Through her business, Paperdolls Photography, Stephanie has worked hard to celebrate other children's milestones, but now it's her little girl's turn. Recently, Hannah Grace — who has Down Syndrome — graduated kindergarten, so her mom staged a spirited photo shoot to highlight Hannah's achievement.

"Hannah has worked so very hard to wear this cap and gown," Stephanie told POPSUGAR. "She has overcome everything from severe heart defects that were supposed to end her life by the time she was 3 years old. She's improved her fine and gross motor skills, speaking abilities, incredible shyness, and social skills."

"I will celebrate every single milestone she overcomes because it IS a big deal in our world."

Of course, Stephanie has always been proud of her daughter, but seeing Hannah Grace dressed up was an especially emotional moment. "My girl has defied all the odds and I will never stop believing in her amazing abilities," shared Stephanie. "I have long muffled out the whispers of those who said she 'can't, she won't, she's not 'able.'"

As you can tell by the photos below, Hannah Grace was absolutely thrilled to have her photos taken in her cap and gown, as she should be! Graduating kindergarten is an incredible milestone. "In a couple of these images she was jumping up and down shouting 'I DID IT!' And yes she sure did!" said Stephanie. "She is an overcomer, she is loved, and I will celebrate every single milestone she overcomes because it IS a big deal in our world."
