After the death of his sister, Kelly, in 2007, and then her husband, Ben Cheshire, in 2014, Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline decided to take in their nieces, Jordan and Kris, and their nephew Til. By then, the couple had already become parents to two sons of their own, Bo and Tatum. In a blink of an eye, they went from a family of four to a family of seven. "We never thought twice about it," Caroline said in an interview. "You know, it was never something that he and I had to sit down and talk about. 'Should we take this on?' We just did that."
Since then Bryan and his wife have been raising and loving Jordan, Kris, and Til like their own. "You don't want to sound like you love having them so much that you're glad it's the situation, but we're honored to be doing what we feel was the right thing," Bryan broke down in an interview. Jordan Cheshire
At 25 years old, Jordan Cheshire is the eldest child of the Bryan-Cheshire bunch and she just got engaged! The big sis continues to show up for her brother and sister and considers Auntie Lina her "right hand and go to girl." In an August 2015 interview, the "Play it Again" singer said being able to help raise his nieces and nephew has been a "project far more important than anything he can accomplish in music."
Kris Cheshire
All it takes is one look at Kris Cheshire's Instagram to tell how much she loves being both a big and little sister to her siblings. The 22-year-old has been with her longterm boyfriend and childhood sweetheart for over four years. When she isn't with her girlfriends hanging out on a boat or the beach, she's tearing up the American Idol dance floor with her aunt and sister.
Til Cheshire
Born in November 2001, Til is the youngest of the Cheshire siblings. A former dual high school athlete, the 19-year-old is currently halfway through his freshman year at the University of Georgia. Much like his uncle, he loves his camouflage and enjoys going hunting and fishing in the countryside.
While it's been six years since his pops passed away, Til continues to honor and remember him on social media. When it comes to raising Til as his own, Bryan said it was a tricky balance of learning how to be a parent to a teenager and a friend. ". . . My main thing with Til is is just properly giving the right amount of advice and realizing you're talking to someone who is becoming an adult," adding, "I have to be that parent role where if he does something, he needs to get in trouble, but I want to be a friend to him too."
Thomas Boyer Bryan
Bryan and Caroline welcomed their firstborn child Thomas Boyer Bryan into the world on March 18, 2008. The 12-year-old loves tagging along with his dad and cousin to go hunting and fishing, and it looks like he's pretty good at it! Of course, he wouldn't be the kid of a country star if he didn't star in his dad's own music video. Both he and his younger brother played leading roles in Bryan's music video of "What Makes You Country."
Tatum Christopher Bryan
Tatum Christopher Bryan was born on Aug. 11, 2010. While the 10-year-old may be growing up to be a spitting image of his dad, he's got his mama's personality. "Tate is like me, he likes to be in the background and that's exactly how I am," Caroline said in an interview on the family farm. Tate already had one older brother but when his parents took in his cousins, he found a second brother in Til. After being away for college, Til surprised Tate for his tenth birthday with an emotional hometown visit.
