This Teen Helps Her Classmates Struggling With Mental Health

POPSUGAR / paid for by / Disney

Being a teenager is hard. It's a transformative period when many teens struggle with their relationships, identity, and, sometimes, their mental health. That's why 15-year-old Juliette Molina wants teens to have a safe space to talk and take steps to destigmatize the discussion surrounding mental health.

Inspired by her favorite Disney character, Merida from Brave, Juliette launched a blog to open up the conversation among her classmates. By being vulnerable and sharing that mental health struggles are normal and not something to be ashamed of, Juliette is using empathy to connect with teenagers who may need help. Tap play on the video above to see how Merida inspires Juliette to forge her own path.

We've partnered with Disney to share how princesses like Merida have inspired the next generation to spread kindness, bravery, and joy.
