These Are My Fashion New Year's Resolutions

Each December, I set aside time before the end of the year to create my list of resolutions. I almost always try to make sure they are achievable ones, albeit ones that will force me to stretch my muscles, both literally and metaphorically.
This year, I have a special section of said resolutions list, designated for all I hope for regarding my fashion and style in the coming year. Before the year 2020, I want to spend more time considering things. Sound general? Well, it sort of is. In today's world of fast fashion, Instagram trends, and product "drops," it's near impossible to allow yourself a chance to stop and consider important things like, "How is this made?" or "What is the cost per wear?"
This year, I hope to spend more time considering the things that are becoming increasingly important to me when it comes to making fashion purchases: sustainability, ethics, and comfort. Here are the resolutions I've come up with, and the specific pieces that will help me achieve these goals.
Play With Seasons
Make the idea of "seasonal dressing" a thing of the past by finding a piece that screams "Spring" and allowing it to live in Winter. This Print Crepe Dress ($250) is as chic with a pair of gold sandals as it is with black opaque tights, boots, and a chunky boyfriend cardigan.
Invest More in Athleisure

Think More About Where Things Come From
This year, I'd like to take the extra step in considering where each item I'm buying comes from and how it was made. There are so many options at all sorts of price points to make it possible to purchase sustainably. Taking the extra 10 minutes to research your purchase will make it that much more special. Don't Use Comfort as an Excuse
