Blake Lively has been throwing us many glamorous looks during her three-day stint at the Cannes Film Festival in France. After stunning in a range of formal, red-carpet-ready looks from many of her favorite designers like Chanel and Ferragamo, Blake went with something a little different for a Friday morning photocall on behalf of her new film The Shallows.

Turning to designer Giambattista Valli, Blake selected a piece that was embellished in many, many ways. The high-waisted skirt on the piece had texture, while the top featured capelet sleeves with jeweled ties. The bodice featured scattered beading, too.

Not content, though, to let her dress do all the talking, Blake piled on rings and jewels from her go-to jewelry designers Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira. She carried a Roger Vivier clutch.

What made Friday morning's dress so special, though, was the fact that Blake, who has been wearing tons of long gowns, decided to embrace a minidress. It was a perfect pick for an early engagement — one of the many style lessons Blake is teaching from the South of France.
