This Bride Wore the Same Wedding Dress as Her Mom — and Her Grandma

When it came time for Julia Cain to pick a wedding dress, she opted for the beautiful gown that had been worn by both her mother and grandmother at their respective ceremonies — resulting in the most heartwarming tale that will make you consider the style move for your own big day.

On her blog, Oh, Julia Ann, the newlywed detailed the process behind updating her family's heritage gown for more modern times. After various alterations appointments, Julia repurposed the jacket's sleeves into thicker straps, lowered the sweetheart neckline, and added a built-in bra for more structure and support.

Julia also noted how her grandfather Harold walked her down the aisle, making her the third woman he has walked down the aisle wearing that exact dress. Cue the tears.
