Emilia Wickstead Wants You to Think Pink For Spring
With bows in her hair and buckles on her feet, Emilia Wickstead's girl is preparing for a very feminine Spring. The designer stuck to a palette that included almost all of of her most popular colors, with a collection full of bubblegum pink, bright red, cornflower blue, and white. Mid-length dresses featured corset-style tops with deep swooping necklines, with either full ballet-length skirts, or chic pencil styles. For evening, shapes were exaggerated, from the giant green bow that adorned a pink column gown (Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, but make it fashion) to the trapeze-shaped cape dress with a built-in hood that would be surprisingly practical during a damp British Spring.
For Wickstead's most famous customer, the Duchess of Cambridge, there was definitely no shortage of appropriate outfits, from the sequin-adorned pink evening gowns to a chic powder blue midi with a modest neckline. There was even a soft beige trench coat that we're pretty sure Kate's new sister-in-law will be adding to her shopping list immediately. Keep reading to see the collection in full.
