Skinny jeans, I hardly ever knew ye. While the formfitting denim of yesteryear will always hold a special place in my closet, wearable everyday pieces that feel good on are the ones that are moving up to the front. I discovered these High-Rise Mariner Wide-Jeans ($56, originally $70) at Gap and immediately grabbed them. The fabric is a mix of cotton, polyester, and spandex but feels more like a tencel to the touch — but don't worry, they don't wrinkle like tencel! On, they're just as comfortable. Roomy at the waist and punctuated by two sailor-style pockets on the front (be sure to tuck in your shirt to show off that waistband!). And the leg opening is nice and large, making them especially cute with short white sneakers. I've worn these to brunch and even to the park, and so far they haven't lost their shape. These are definitely my new favorites.
