Of all the trends we spotted at Fashion Week for Spring 2015, one was the clear winner. Well, if you don't count florals, because, come on, florals as a trend for Spring isn't a surprise to anyone. The trend that popped up in every city and in nearly every major runway show, from the likes of such contemporary designers as Jason Wu and Victoria Beckham to timeless fashion houses like Gucci, Prada, Valentino, and Saint Laurent? The 1970s.
Retro trends can certainly be tricky, so if you are itching to figure out just how to incorporate the key styles from that decade into your wardrobe without looking like an extra from That '70s Show, we created a shopping list of fresh-off-the-runway essentials. From wide-leg trousers to daisy prints and utilitarian jumpsuits, one or two of these looks make for a more subtle approach, or you can layer on a few pieces to set a stronger tone. And go ahead and add them to your Fall lineup – no need to wait for next season to go back in time!
