1 Clean out your closet
Start by going through your own closet to see what you could do without. Pull out pieces that you haven't worn in a long time, throw them on your bed, and look at them all together. 2 Send out invites

3 Organize empty closet space

5 Give 30 minutes to try on clothes
Once you've hung everything up nicely, let everyone browse and try on clothing as if they were in an actual store.
6 Time to shop
Pull names out of a hat to determine an order, then let everyone pick out an item they want. The key is to limit each person to one item at a time. Once everyone has selected a new item to keep, the second round starts. Giving your threads to others allows the item to have a fresh start in someone else's wardrobe, which is the whole point of the swap.
7 Donate the rest
Here comes the best part. Pack up everything remaining into bags and drop them off at a donation center.
