While Gucci's new bags may be named for style icon Jackie O., the real star of the campaign is Kate Moss. Captured on screen as she dodges the paparazzi, Kate puts the label's new carryalls — and mod-inspired wares — on display. Shot after shot features an impossibly cool Moss, clad in a leopard coat, then blue, then pink, with the Jackie bag at her side, mimicking the way Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was oft pursued by the paps with her own Gucci in tow. And to further the connection, Kate Moss was just snapped in real life wearing the same Gucci suiting she does in the film. It doesn't get much more meta than that.
