The Inspiring Reason Oprah's Louboutins Just Sold For $12,000

It's the season of giving, and Oprah is doing her part to spread the cheer. While in Australia for a speaking tour, the TV host donated a pair of Louboutins to help raise money for Australian charity One Girl's Do It in a Dress initiative. The bidding ended Sunday with a final price of $12,067, the entirety of which will be donated to help provide school dresses for girls in Sierra Leone.

The scaled silver peep-toe pumps are statement-making all on their own, but with the addition of Oprah's signature, the shining pumps quickly garnered lots of attention on eBay. By the end of the week-long auction, 89 bids had been placed, and the price had skyrocketed from the opening price of approximately $363 USD (the bidding was all in Australian dollars).
