Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have long solidified their reputation as the kings of cool at influencer-, editor-, and consumer-loved label Proenza Schouler. For Spring '17, that cool factor is delivered in a striking primary palette, with bold swipes of blue, yellow, and red to punctuate cutouts, ruffles, and asymmetrical silhouettes. It's bold on bold — working in color and cut that are evenly matched. It might overwhelm the frame, save for the designers' expert proportions, draping, and layering that bring the statement power back down to earth.
Flirtatious knotted cutouts, geometric prints, and colored furry jackets have an eye-popping effect, but we suspect the cool girls will gravitate toward the slinky sheaths and fitted pencil skirts paired with oversize t-shirts. Read on to see the collection in full.
