26 Reasons Russell Westbrook Is the Fashion King of the NBA (and Maybe the World)

If you follow the NBA even a little bit, you know that Russell Westbrook's style off the court is just as bold as he is on the court. His life motto is "Why not?," and that certainly extends to his fashion choices. Whether he's on the red carpet, at Paris Fashion Week, or at a postgame press conference, his style leaves a lasting impression. Love it or hate it (but really, you should love it), he doesn't shy away from statement glasses or a wide-brimmed hat, and he's certainly not afraid to mix prints, patterns, and fabrics. As a Fashion Week regular with unique personal style, it's no surprise that Westbrook has collaborated with Barneys New York and Tumi on collections and even has a line of his own, Honor the Gift. Read on to see 26 of his boldest looks and why he's the reigning king of NBA fashion (and my men's style icon).

He Even Makes Overalls Look Cool

There are so many ways this outfit could go wrong, but once again, he styled it perfectly.

He doesn't need an outrageous look to stand out. Westbrook wore the hell out of this Tom Ford tux at the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards.

Is He Trying to Stand Out or Blend In?

So, he was definitely trying to stand out. And somehow he made this work at Paris Fashion Week. I think it's the socks and the Chucks that really seal the deal here.

Who Looks This Good in Sweats?! Seriously.

Who else can pull off wearing pink sweatpants to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon? And it's easy to miss, so I'll go ahead and draw attention to the sweatshirt that is tied. around. his. waist.

Canadian Tuxed— Oh, Yes!

Time and time again, Westbrook proves he can pull off anything. Here, it was denim on denim at Jeremy Scott's show during New York Fashion Week.

Oh, did you not know that Westbrook's wife, Nina, is stylish in her own right? NBA power couple right here with their monochrome looks (and her pop of color).

This look could easily be too much, but by keeping the colors neutral, Westbrook once again pulled it off. At the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

This is a lewk. Just when you think the acid-wash denim on denim was something, he hit you with the bright orange sneakers.

It's hard to not get distracted by that unbuttoned shirt, but Westbrook really tied together this outfit with standout shades and crisp white sneakers. At the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2018 show at Paris Fashion Week.

Master of the Monochrome

He might be fierce on the court, but everything about this outfit (plus his big smile) was 100 percent adorable.

Westbrook's Tom Ford suit was anything but basic. The tapered pants, blue jacket, and thin-rimmed glasses made him stand out.

He's mastered it. Here's yet another denim-on-denim look styled with velvet jewel-toned sneakers and green-lens glasses. It's almost too much . . . almost.
