We're not going to lie, it's been some time since we've put on a pair of heels, but Amina Muaddi's collaboration with A$AP Rocky is about to change that. The talented designer teamed up with the rapper and creative extraordinaire for a new collection of four stunning shoes, and they are exactly what we needed to get excited about dressing up again. It's Amina's first collaboration for her own brand and it holds a special place in her heart, sharing on Instagram that despite being friends for years, the collection is over a year in the making.
"Inspired by A$AP Rocky's personal style and cultural impact, the collaboration between AWGE and Amina Muaddi captures today's shifting narrative," the brand wrote in a press release. "Two usually distinct approaches to creativity merging together in order to convey a futuristic and global message."
In an interview with Vogue, the duo discussed how the AWGE x Amina Muaddi collection is a true collaboration of both their personal styles. "It was just about incorporating his universe, his aesthetic, his visuals," Amina said. "A lot of the inspiration came from his personal jewelry, and things that I would see him wearing. Even before we did the collaboration, I would tell him, 'Oh, I love this. This could be so cool on a shoe.'"
And that is exactly what they did — created a seriously cool collection of heels. The four shoes feature Amina's signature pyramid-shaped heel as a focal point, with each style boasting a different design. With crystal chain links as an ankle strap, rainbow lace-up thigh-high designs, and even crystal-covered butterflies across a PVC base, it's a seriously sexy heel collection. The shoes are available to the AWGE x Amina Muaddi collection and range from $1,345 to $1,860. Check out photos of the AWGE x Amina Muaddi collection and shop our favorite selects ahead.
