15 Best Stretch Jeans For Women, From Skinny to Wide Leg
There was once a time where it felt like all jeans had stretch in them, but as the vintage-inspired, rigid denim became more popular, it's become harder and harder to find great jeans for women with some give. This is a personal mission for me; I've never been able to comfortably wear a pair of jeans without stretch. The only way to get them on is to go up two sizes for my hips, and then they're way too big on my waist.
I'm not in the market for a pair of jeggings, just a cool pair of jeans I can actually wear comfortably. If you are like me and need a little bit of stretch in your denim, keep reading to shop my picks. You see, I've already done the hard work for you here, but if you're curious, it's essential to check the fabric or construction of each pair of jeans you look at. There needs to be at least one percent elastane, polyurethane, or spandex; the more, the stretchier. I like to aim for two percent if I can get it. Also, if you're ever concerned about your jeans stretching out too much, throw them in the dryer. They'll shrink back up in no time. Happy shopping!
Best Vintage-Inspired Jeans With Stretch
Madewell The Perfect Vintage Jean in Haight Wash ($40, originally $128)
Vintage-inspired jeans are usually made of rigid denim, so I'm snapping up these Madewell pants ASAP. They've got one percent elastane, so they're made of what's known as comfort stretch. It's got more give than rigid denim but isn't completely stretchy. If you want something in between, these are a great option.
Best Affordable Jeans With Stretch
Looking for a new pair of jeans but don't want to break the bank? Go with these Old Navy jeans. They're already affordable, but now that there's an extra 30 percent taking off at checkout, they're practically a steal! Made with two percent spandex, they're also a great option if you've got curves.

Best High Rise Skinny Jeans With Stretch
I'm of the belief that you should always wear what you want, and though there's been a general turning away from skinny jeans recently, I still have a few in my rotation. Come fall, they'll look great tucked into riding or cowboy boots with a blazer, and then everyone will be sad they gave their beloved pairs away. These pants are some of my longtime favorite jeans. They have two percent elastane and four percent elasterell, so they're super stretchy and so comfortable.
Best Raw Hem Jeans With Stretch
These slim-cut jeans have a super-high waist and are equipped with mesh panels that mold to your curves and hold you in, offering support without rigidness. They're offered in sizes 0-18, and also come in a petite length for convenience. Although, with a raw edge ankle, you could always take to them with scissors by yourself.

One silhouette that can be difficult to find with some stretch is the ever-popular '90s loose style. These jeans look effortless and like you just threw them on and ran out the door, but you still look fabulous. They are impossibly cool and have one percent elastane, so there's a little bit of give.
Best Bootcut Jeans With Stretch
Levi's Ribcage Bootcut Jeans ($108)
Levi's classic denim typically doesn't have stretch. That's why I'm obsessed with these jeans. The light wash is adorable and perfect for summer, plus I love the tight fit by the hips with the more flared-out leg. These are low-stretch jeans with one percent elastane.
Best Curve Jeans With Stretch
These jeans were designed specifically for people with curves. The silhouette is timeless, making these a good investment at any time. They also come in a light-black wash. They have a '90s vintage vibe and are made with one percent elastane.
Best Wide-Leg Jeans With Stretch
Another great wide-leg denim option comes from Good American, which has some of the best stretch denim I've ever tried. These jeans are so on trend right now. They have one percent elastane, so they'll hold their shape, and I like them with heels or boots for a night out.

Best Black Jeans With Stretch
Fall is coming faster than you can blink, and a pair of black jeans is essential. I love Agolde's styles and cuts, but most of the denim is made without stretch, which is a bummer. These adorable jeans have one percent elastane, and they're heavyweight, which means they have some heft to them but will still mold to fit your body.
Best Flare Jeans With Stretch
Flare jeans are having a major comeback, and I'm not mad about it. These dark-wash jeans have two percent polyurethane, and they're classified as a super-stretch denim. They'll mold to all your curves, and you'll want to wear them all the time.

Classic straight-leg jeans are a wardrobe essential. These RE/DONE jeans are an editor favorite; I've personally had them for years, and they never go out of style. If you're going to splurge, I'd recommend something you know you'll always wear. Plus, as the name suggests, these are comfort stretch jeans, with one percent elastane.
Best White Jeans With Stretch
L'Agence is one of my favorite brands for stretch denim. It's always done well, and the denim is comfortable and doesn't lose its shape. If you're in the market for a great pair of white jeans, look no further than this style. I'm of the opinion that white jeans in particular should be stretchy, and these have one percent elastane.
