J Lo Wears the Ultimate Plunging Party Dress on New Year's Eve

Jennifer Lopez rang in 2023 wearing a vintage Gucci gown from the pre-fall 2017 collection. Building on the theme of her holiday wardrobe — which consisted entirely of dresses from the Milan-based fashion house — it's safe to say she saved the best for last. The 53-year-old pop star selected the plunging design, with its bow-shaped, gemstone-embellished brooch at the waist, to play up her natural glow and the lights decorating the interior of her house.

From the satin fuchsia halter to the black velvet skirt, the design screamed high octane glamour. Lopez piled on the glitzy accessories, including a diamond-encrusted tiger ring. Her dewy makeup complemented it perfectly, from her smoky eyeshadow to her frosted lip. Lopez's hair was styled into textured, bed-head waves, with pieces skimming her shoulders and chest to play up her sultry neckline. Later in the evening, she took a selfie in a pair of translucent "2023" glasses, which she added to her Instagram reel, set to the sound of "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" by Ella Fitzgerald.

The day after Christmas, Lopez shared a picture of her festive turquoise cocktail minidress, also by Gucci, which was covered in red bows. And on Dec. 17, she and husband Ben Affleck invited Hollywood A-listers to a seasonal party, for which she donned a green jacquard maxi. The color coincided with the duo's "Hummingbird" Christmas theme, an ode to the single off her upcoming album "This Is Me . . . Now."
