These Colorful New Balance Sneakers Remind Us of Legos, and We're Beyond Obsessed
Once in a while, there's a sneaker collaboration that comes around that just instantly brightens up your life. For me, it's Aimé Leon Dore's colorful collaboration with New Balance. While I know designers teaming up with sneaker companies is nothing new — right now, people can't stop buzzing about the Dior x Air Jordan 1s collab — there's something different about these sneakers. The designer behind the brand, Teddy Santis, has a knack for making clothes that are just so distinctly New York, it's no wonder his collab with New Balance hits home.
As a follow-up to his New Balance 990v5 and 997 collaborations last year, the designer set his eyes on the 827 kicks. The sneaker features a sporty, deconstructed silhouette and fun colorblock accents in blue, red, and green throughout which actually reminded me of Legos. It looks like the soles of the sneakers also feature pops of the same colors. The release date and price have not been announced yet, but the brand is asking fans to subscribe to the mailing list for more information. Keep reading to get a closer look at the covetable sneakers.
