The Statue of Liberty Is About to Get All Wrapped Up in DVF

If we could see the State of Liberty swathed in anything other than her seafoam green robe, we'd like to see her dressed in eye-catching prints. And who better to style Lady Liberty than Diane von Furstenberg? After all, the designer embodies New York — she's both president of the CFDA and has been honored with the lifetime achievement award — and she's created clothes for strong, independent women for more than 40 years now.

So when Diane announced she would "wrap the It girl of New York. The real one — the Statue of Liberty in DVF prints," the fashion girl in us kind of freaked out. The stunt is meant to celebrate E!'s new series House of DVF, which premieres on Sunday, Nov. 2. But in order to gear up for the reveal of the iconic sculpture's new look, you can track down minireplicas all around New York, one of which was parked at The Today Show, where Diane stopped by to snap a photo.
