Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) rushes into marriage and has to wear her mother's wedding dress. To create a more realistic scene, costume designer Walter Plunkett fitted the dress on Ellen O'Hara's dress form so that the dress drooped on the young, shorter Scarlett's small frame. He also chose leg-of-mutton sleeves that were in fashion 30 years prior to this wedding.
