Mary-Kate and Ashley's Latest Looks Are a Total '00s Throwback

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are known for their pioneering style, but this time around, it seems they've found some surprising inspiration for their forward-thinking fashion: the past. The duo was spotted out on the streets in NYC, each putting their own unique spin on a denim-centered look. The sisters looked casual-cool in their respective ensembles, but the outfits reminded us of their styles from yesteryear — maybe a throwback to Billboard Dad?

Mary-Kate's easygoing ensemble consisted of slide-on sneakers, skinny jeans, and a light-blue sweatshirt — all our teenage go-tos. Then she added on sunglasses and a long pendant necklace to finish off the look. Meanwhile, Ashley took similar staples — denim and a fitted blue sweater — but gave them her own spin by opting for a high-waisted pair of flared jeans and adding on wire-rim rectangular sunglasses and taupe booties.
