It's Not a Party Until Helen Mirren Twirls Her Dolce & Gabbana Gown in the Air
On Saturday evening in Los Angeles, a number of actors hit the red carpet at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in honor of the 2015 Governors Awards. The evening is generally considered a special event in the run-up to the main award shows, like the Oscars and the Golden Globes, that take place in the first few months of each new year.
Honors went to Spike Lee, Gena Rowlands, and Debbie Reynolds, but as far as the style stakes are concerned, pretty much everyone was a winner. Amy Schumer and Brie Larson chose the minimalist route, selecting one-color, sleek looks from Calvin Klein Collection. On the other end of the spectrum were actresses including Rooney Mara, in Alexander McQueen, and Rachel Weisz, in Oscar de la Renta, who let their personalities shine through. And a shout-out must be given to Helen Mirren, who clearly was the life of this (and every other) party. Read on see those looks and many more.
