Ralph Lauren Fall '16 Is For the Woman Who Dares to Be Herself

The woman who dares to be herself — that was Ralph Lauren's inspiration point for his Fall '16 collection. And truly, there was a bit of daring to punctuate the refinement that the label does so well.

From the first few looks — layered latte-colored coats over trousers and slouchy sweaters — it felt just like the quintessential Americana we can expect from Ralph. The following few tell a different story, with stronger '90s influences that manifest in metallic-splashed flared denim, suits, and ruffle-covered white shirting. The vibes were more rock and roll than we're used to, right up to the finale gowns, which came styled with jeweled chokers and knee-high boots — not stilettos.
