Believe It: Emma Watson's Met Gala Look Was Made From Plastic Water Bottles

We didn't need another reason to love Emma Watson's Met Gala ensemble. After all, we were almost googly-eyed over the the style star, who broke with red carpet tradition and stepped out in a layered bustier and pants look from Calvin Klein Collection. No, we definitely didn't need one, but the ever-dazzling Emma just gave us a good one.

You would never guess from just looking at the outfit, but Emma's design was crafted entirely from recycled materials — three fabrics woven from yarn created by plastic water bottles, to be exact. As the actress explained on her Facebook page, the look was the result of a collaboration between Calvin Klein and Eco Age on sustainable design:

"Plastic is one of the biggest pollutants on the planet. Being able to repurpose this waste and incorporate it into my gown for the ‪#MetGala‬ proves the power that creativity, technology and fashion can have by working together."

Indeed, it would seem that when it comes to the Gala's technology-focused theme, it's no contest. Emma's outfit, which she also plans to repurpose, is the hands-down winner.
