Rebecca Taylor Launches the Cooler, Casual Counterpart to Her Namesake Label

Rebecca Taylor

When you think Rebecca Taylor, you think party dresses and pretty prints. The stuff of girlie girl wardrobes that we've long loved. But since we, admittedly, end up wearing our jeans and t-shirts more often than not, we were thrilled to learn the woman behind one of our favorite feminine labels was launching a new line, La Vie, one that would speak to our everyday style:

"The La Vie collection reflects my personal style, an eclectic mix of vintage utilitarian pieces that I've collected from my favorite spots around the world. I wanted to create a collection that felt relaxed and slightly undone, yet still maintained a sense of casual cool." Rebecca said in a press release, announcing her new collection.

As the name suggests, the lineup is inspired by Parisian street style, pieces like easy blouses, striped knits, and uncomplicated dresses that are meant to be layered up with the collection's denim and utility jackets. A glance through the lookbook and you'll feel that just adding these pieces to your closet will give you the building blocks for a very chic day-to-day look. What's more, the La Vie collection is offered at a more accessible price point, $95 for cotton-blend tees to $395 for outerwear.

Read on to get a first glimpse of the collection, which launches Aug. 11 exclusively at Rebecca Taylor stores, Nordstrom, and Shopbop.
