J.Crew's creative director Jenna Lyons has a sense of style that is undoubtedly her own — one that is overtly reflected in her designs for the beloved retailer. Now, J.Crew has teamed up with Net-a-Porter for an exclusive 25-piece collection that is, well, about as Jenna Lyons as it gets.

The fitting collaboration features separates, accessories, and sneakers all inspired by the iconic Breton stripe. The abbreviated history of the Breton stripe goes as such: it was used in 1858 as the official uniform for men in the French navy until it was adopted by Coco Chanel in 1917 for a nautical collection. Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Jean Paul Gaultier would later go on to popularize it.

Thus, J.Crew's designs have taken those iconic stripes and reimagined them in interested, yet totally wearable ways. Look ahead for pictures of the collection, then shop away.
