Michelle Obama's Custom Gown Had 1 Majorly Festive Detail

Anytime Michelle Obama wears Gucci, you can bet the look will make a statement. For an appearance at the 2016 Kennedy Center honors, the first lady chose a green and pink embellished gown from the fashion house, the hem sweeping the Kennedy Center halls as she walked hand in hand with President Barack Obama. The festive piece was eye catching and fell right in line with Michelle's most recent outfit choices: just a few weeks ago, she wore a holiday-inspired navy ensemble, complete with a tiny bow.

Upon closer inspection of Michelle's Gucci number, we once again noticed a similar small bow detail. The bejeweled piece sat right in front of her Gucci three-quarter sleeve gown, blending in perfectly with the green and pink pattern — something that anyone could have easily missed. Considering Michelle's opted for bowed pieces twice, we suspect she may have a newfound love for this detail, or that it's simply a subtle nod to the holiday season.
