Kate Middleton Completed Her Fairy-Tale Gown With a Tiara, Naturally

We sometimes forget the relatable Kate Middleton is, in fact, royalty; but when she stepped out for the annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace on Thursday night, she looked every bit like a real-life princess. It's perhaps one of her most "princess-y" appearances to date, thanks to a powerful red Jenny Packham gown that Kate's worn before, and a particularly glamorous family heirloom.

Kate finished the look with the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara, a piece once beloved by Princess Diana. It's the second time the duchess has worn the tiara, which resides in Queen Elizabeth II's collection. With its massive pearls, surrounded by diamonds, it's a stunning piece to cap off her jaw-dropping look. Read on to see her portrait and get a closer glimpse at the gown and the jewels.
