Michelle Obama gave her final interview as first lady to none other than Oprah. The duo sat comfortably in the White House, where Michelle offered what are sure to be memorable remarks. You can check out a brief clip of the footage, but the entire conversation aired on CBS on Dec. 19. If that's not enough to excite you, we took a moment to zoom in on Michelle and Oprah's outfits.

Presumably, the pair kept coordination in mind, Michelle opting for a Preen midi with velvet embroidery, stripes, and sheer panels, while Oprah's teal shift was the more minimal look in the room. Oprah could have slipped into simple black pumps and diamond earrings, but instead she amped up her dress with emerald gemstone jewels and purple suede heels.

The foundation of her outfit was a piece by Brandon Maxwell, one of Michelle's favorite new designers. He's created her plenty of power looks and one evening gown for Michelle, so it should come as no surprise he was thrilled to customize something for Oprah:

"Oprah! This is special to me for so many reasons. I had the pleasure of creating a custom dress for @oprah for her sit down at The White House with First Lady @michelleobama, where she gave her final interview as First Lady Of The United States. Two very inspirational women in my life."
