We know Princess Diana and Kate Middleton have similar tastes in clothes and brands (exhibit A). Kate's known for wearing her Superga sneakers on several occasions and it turns out, Princess Diana wore them too — 20 years ago! It was during her visit to Angola in 1997 that she rocked a black lace-up pair with light-wash jeans and a blazer.

Meanwhile, Kate's go-to is a white pair, which she wore with her all-black ensemble at the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon. Though the two women wore them years apart, the classic style hasn't changed too much. We'd still recognize the slim fit and iconic Superga logo on the side anywhere. Are these sneakers royal approved? We say yes, and we included some shopping options ahead, if you want a pair too.
