For day two of the royal tour of Sweden and Norway, Kate Middleton made a public appearance in a red and white Catherine Walker coat. The royal waved to the crowd before meeting with academics to discuss Sweden's approach to managing mental health. Once inside, Kate slipped off her outerwear to reveal a luxe tweed dress. The mini came from Alexander McQueen's Pre-Fall '17 collection and was made of a metallic wool blend. Gold yarn was woven to create a rich texture, which echoed the iconic tweed designs from Chanel (funnily enough, Kate was carrying her Chanel bag).

The dress did hit above Kate's knees, but it felt modest thanks to long sleeves. Kate finished off her look with her quilted purse, In2Design pearl earrings, and Tod's fringe pumps that she's worn before. If anyone needs a style lesson on how to dress modestly but still look fashion forward, Kate's here to provide the perfect example.
