The New-In Section of Kate Middleton's Jewelry Box Will Make You See Dollar Signs

Aside from mixing up her wardrobe style in recent years, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has also been experimenting with bolder and more unusual jewelry choices, resulting in some pretty impressive new pieces — and suitably sky-rocketing price tags! In the past, Kate has added a touch of glamour to her outfits mainly with an array of earrings, but in the last year, the duchess has worn suites of rubies, outsize pearls, blue topaz, and Baltic amber and experimented with fun pieces from Simone Rocha and Kate Spade. During her trip to Paris, Kate also wore a new Cartier set from the design house's Trinity collection. The interlinked circles of 18-karat white, pink, and yellow gold on both the earrings and necklace are suspended from a single diamond, with a price tag of $2,023 and $1,953, respectively.

Kate has worn a few sets of impressive jewels over the years, but her arrival in Warsaw marked the debut of a simple but striking set of mystery rubies and diamonds, comprising earrings, pendant, and ring. Similarities have been drawn between the suite of jewels and the work of former crown jeweler G. Collins & Sons — who is responsible for Kate's favorite tanzonite and diamond set — but the designer has never been publicly confirmed.
